It all started with Sari.
Long before she opened the doors of her own store, Sari had a passion for beautiful clothing, timeless designs, and the little details that could make a woman feel truly special.
For Sari, fashion was never simply about clothes. It was about the women wearing them.
THE BEGINNINGS
HELSINKI, BEFORE 1994
Before opening her own store, Sari spent years developing her eye for clothing and discovering what she truly wanted to offer women.
She learned to understand fabrics, appreciate craftsmanship, and recognise the difference between something made simply to follow a trend and something a woman could love wearing for years.
Little by little, a dream began to take shape: a store of her own.
A place where women could find beautiful, carefully selected pieces and, above all, receive the kind of personal attention Sari believed shopping should always have.
1994
THE DAY WE OPENED OUR DOORS
A small shop in the heart of Helsinki. Freshly painted walls, empty clothes rails waiting to be filled, and a dream that had been years in the making.
In 1994, Sari turned the key for the very first time and opened the doors of Sari Helsinki.
There was no big launch or grand celebration. Just Sari, her carefully selected pieces, and the hope that women would walk through the door and find something they truly loved.
One customer became ten. Ten became hundreds. And before we knew it, that little shop had become part of the lives of women from across Finland.
OUR WAY OF DOING THINGS
CURATION, NOT COLLECTION
Every piece that entered our store was chosen with care.
For Sari, it was never about following every new trend or filling the rails with as many clothes as possible. It was about finding pieces she genuinely believed women would love to wear.
Timeless designs. Comfortable fabrics. Beautiful details.
Clothes made not just for one season, but for real life — for ordinary Tuesdays, important dinners, family celebrations, cold Helsinki mornings and all the little moments in between.
We chose what we believed would last — in your wardrobe and in your memories.
ARE THE HEART OF SARI HELSINKI
For more than 30 years, thousands of women have walked through our doors and become part of our story.
Some were searching for the perfect dress for a special occasion. Others needed a warm coat for another Finnish winter, something beautiful for a family celebration, or simply a piece that made an ordinary day feel a little more special.
Some of you visited us once. Others came back year after year. And some eventually brought your daughters, and even your granddaughters, through the same doors.
Every one of you became a small part of Sari Helsinki.
Without you, none of these 30 wonderful years would have been possible.
2026
A NEW CHAPTER
After more than 30 years devoted to the store, Sari began to realise that there was something she could never get back: time.
Time with her family. Time with her daughter. Time with her granddaughters.
For decades, the store had been one of the greatest joys of her life. But as the years passed, Sari felt it was finally time to slow down and dedicate more of herself to the people she loves most.
And so, after many conversations and many memories, she made one of the most difficult decisions of her life.
It was time to close Sari Helsinki.
